This month's Speaker is: Cindy Gilstrap, Vice President/ General Manager - Netstar Communications
I started my career in media 36 years ago with a small AM radio station in Southern Louisiana. My husband Derek and I , moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1984 and I took a sales position with KLLL Radio. I moved over to KVOQ-FM and took the role as Station Manager there in 1987. I was then offered a position at KCBD in television sales in 1990 and I remained there until 2002. I made the move over to the CBS affiliate, KLBK13, Lubbock’s first television station! I progressed from an Account Executive to General Sales Manager in 2012, and then to the GM position in December 2016. I love the substance of the people of West Texas – it is an amazing place to work and raise a family, and I am so very proud to be a part of this community!
