This month's Speaker is: Terri Furman

Terri grew up in Ballinger. She says, “I bled Red and Black then and continue to bleed Red and Black with the Red Raiders”.

She has been with KLBK since 2005 and anchors the 6, and 10pm News daily on KLBK. In 2013, she helped start Lubbock’s ONLY daily Lifestyle show, Trends & Friends, and served as the Executive Producer and Host for four years and turned over the reigns so she could focus more on News and her family.

Having never met a stranger, she received her B.A. in Communication from Angelo State University with a background including Sales, Human Resources, Public Relations and Promotions. In 2005, the station found her doing Promotions, Marketing, Concerts and Events out at Buffalo Springs Lake in Lubbock and immediately asked her to anchor the KAMC 28 show Good Morning Lubbock. About a year and a half later she moved to KLBK and become co-anchor for the evening newscasts. Terri says, “being allowed into your homes and being able to tell you about the news of the day is something I take pride in.”

Being involved in the community is where you will mostly find Terri on the weekends.

Texas Women in Business - Lubbock Chapter is committed to supporting our local community.  Every year we select two deserving local non-profits.

At this time we are asking for donations

in support of  "New Legacy Home for Women"

The New Legacy Home serves women who call Lubbock their home and desire a positive change in their lives, women needing to move out of habits caused by drug and alcohol use, or issues of anger, failure, rejection, and doubt.  Single moms, abused women, women needing to get a GED or job skills are all be welcomed.

The New Legacy Home exists to help women that clearly have a strong desire to change their lives and are willing to commit fifteen months of working towards that goal.  The purpose of the New Legacy Home is to help women write a new life story, leaving a new legacy that empowers them and future generations to serve in the Lubbock community as productive citizens.
