Currently, she works at TrustPoint Rehabilitation Hospital of Lubbock as well as in her own private Occupational Therapy practice, where she uses a holistic approach to address the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of her clients. She teaches a warm water arthritis class and speaks in the community about various topics such as fall prevention, arthritis, pain management, grief, and mental health.
Sybille immigrated from Germany in 1996. After the death of her youngest child by suicide she became a volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to raise awareness about mental illness, addiction, and suicide and to break the stigma associated with it. She is the board chair for the West Texas Chapter of AFSP.
At her church, Sybille is the leader of the spiritual life committee and the grief ministry and she is currently working on becoming a grief educator.
