Doors open at 11:15 am. Lunch by Chef Angie with Salt by Angie at the historical Kress Building at 1109 Broadway. We will be giving away a free TWIB membership from the guests who attend this luncheon.

Speakers are Monica Delgado and Laura Betancourt, representing the Lubbock Hispanic Women's Network of Texas - Lubbock Chapter.

Monica Delgado is the wife of Benny Delgado, together they have six children Casidy (27), Nathaniel (27), Ashley (25), Matthew (24), Alexander (21), and Issaih (16). She is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Spanish. Monica also received her graduate degree from Wayland Baptist University with a Master's in Public Administration with a concentration on Juvenile Administration.
Monica has lived her life giving back to the community. She was awarded the Commanders Award for Public Service (US Army), the Molly Pitcher award (US Army), Trio Achiever's award (TTU), the Community Spirit award (Junior League), the Ambassador of the Month Award (Lubbock Chamber), The Spirit of Texas Red Cross Award, as well as was recognized as a Girl Scouts Women of Distinction recipient. She returned to Lubbock in 2014 and has continued her commitment to community service. Monica currently works for MCH Family Outreach where she serves as a Case Manager. She also owns her own business Classically Planned events. She serves as a Board Member on the City of Lubbock Appointments Advisory Board, is a sustaining member of Junior League of Lubbock, is active with the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and serves as an Ambassador, she is the SouthWest Regional Director for Kappa Delta Chi, Sorority, INC, and is the Chair of the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas State organization in Lubbock. She also serves as the President of Bayless Atkins Neighborhood Association and is a proud activist in her community. Her passion of selfless service is her driving force, and she believes the ability to give of oneself is truly the most important aspect of a person. As a first Generation College Educated Woman Monica makes sure she lists God first then Family. Monica's tag line is, "If not us, then who, if not now then when?"

I enjoy helping others especially women and children. I have a soft spot for those less fortunate and for those with disabilities. I love giving back especially to the community.
I have worked with many local organizations which include the following: ACTS of Lubbock, Levelland Chamber of Commerce, Ronald McDonald House, Texas Tech University Burkhart Center, Texas Partners in Policy Making, Parent's Education Network, South Plains Food Bank, St. Benedict's Soup Kitchen, Hispanic Association of Women, a few others and I have recently served in these roles for Hispanic Women's Network of Texas Lubbock Chapter:
