June's luncheon promises to be full of information, networking and time well spent with each other. We cant wait to see you June 11th!
We are excited to welcome Marisa Vasquez. Marisa serves as the Alzheimer’s Association Development Manager supporting volunteers across Lubbock and the Texas Panhandle. In her role, she partners with community leaders to expand access to vital resources, education, expert guidance, 24/7 support from master’s-level social workers, and pathways to Alzheimer’s and dementia-related care; all with the ultimate goal of ending Alzheimer’s and other dementia.
Marisa earned her Master’s Degree in Communication from Texas Tech University and first became involved with the Alzheimer’s Association nearly a decade ago as a volunteer after joining the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee. Her personal journey with the organization gives her a unique and heartfelt perspective on the importance of advocacy, awareness, and community involvement.
Marisa, along with a Volunteer Community Educator, will focus on Alzheimer’s awareness, brain health, and ways our community can get involved in the fight to end Alzheimer's. She will also share a new program from the Alzheimer’s Association; Brain Health at Work, an initiative to provide employers with brain health support, education and tools for empowering those in the workforce.
